It helps a lot if you say which phone you have, which version of the app (Settings shows it at the bottom) and what you were doing when it happened.

Frequent questions

Where are my documents kept?

In the app’s private folder on your phone, and nowhere else. Uninstalling the app deletes that library; your original files stay where they were.

Why can’t I pick my Downloads folder?

Since Android 11 the system folder picker has the Downloads folder blocked — it shows greyed out. That is an Android restriction, not a bug in the app. Use “Find my PDFs”, which gets there, or pick the files directly.

It put a document in the wrong category

Open the document, tap the information button and change the category. The app learns from the correction and applies it to similar documents in future. What you corrected by hand is never overwritten.

Is there sync between my phone and my tablet?

No, and it is on purpose. The library lives on each device, which is exactly what lets us promise that nothing leaves your phone.

How do I remove the ads?

There is no paid version yet. You can refuse personalised advertising in Settings → Privacy; you will still see ads, but not based on your profile.
